Went to blue Mesa on 08/05 to 08/08 stayed on the east end of the BIG LAKE. Fished the lola area and the iron works area. Kokanee fishing was fair in both areas. Had to troll VERY VERY slow. Fish were 4 to 6 colors down "30 to 40 ft" down. Used pink and white "Arnies" using a 2 ft. leader behind pop gear "Pink and blue flashers" also used bommer flashers "pink and silver" smaller ones. Kokanee were in the 20 to 28 in. range. "Nice fish"
Over 35 boats were out every day fshing the same areas of the lake. very little action from shore.
Fly fishermen were way down streem at the outlet.

heard about some guys doing pretty well for Kokanee, trolling with downriggers and also using some special kind of corn "Shoepeg corn".
